As 1648th stake of the LDS Church Rancho Cucamonga Stake was created 28 June 1987 with Steven Thomas Escher as first stake president.

Cucamonga 4th (Tongan Ward): Bishop Sione Palekuela Tauteoli

On June 23, 1996, the Rancho Cucamonga Stake was reorganized.
